Platforms
Not the official site — a guide to how it works.
Here is a summary of which platforms you trade on and how much trading costs.
Where you trade
You can keep using the software you already use, or work from just your phone or browser.
MetaTrader 5
It states that fast execution and advanced trading signals are available.
MetaTrader 4
A long-used platform. Trade on the same familiar screens.
Vantage App
Check prices and place orders from your phone.
Web trading
Use it right in your browser, with nothing to install.
Copy trading
A way of following other people's trades.
Demo trading
Practice with virtual money. No real money is involved.
Comparing spreads
The spread is the difference between the buying price and the selling price. It is in effect your trading cost, so the more often you buy and sell, the wider it opens up.

Frequently asked questions
Which one should I choose?
If this is your first time, get used to the screens with demo trading, then choose to suit the device you use most. It states that one account can be used across several platforms.
Are there costs other than the spread?
Depending on the account type, a separate commission may apply, and holding a position overnight incurs a holding cost. Check the conditions in the official information.
I would like to know how to log in to MT4/MT5 with a trading account.
On MT4/MT5 (MetaTrader, the program you place orders in) on a computer, click 'File > Login to Trade Account', enter your account number and password, then choose your server from the list. On Android, tap the three dots at the top left and choose 'Manage accounts > Login'; on iPhone, tap 'Settings' at the bottom right, choose 'New Account > Login', then search for and select your server. If you do not know your account number, password or server name, check with the broker's customer support. Account issuance and management are all handled by the broker; we only provide guidance in English.
I get 'authorization failed' or 'invalid account' when logging in to MT4.
This means the login failed, and it usually appears when the password is wrong or the wrong server was selected. The password for the broker's member site (Client Portal) and the trading account password you enter in MT4 are different, so check whether what you are entering is the trading account password and whether the server name matches the one in your account confirmation email. Also check that you entered uppercase and lowercase letters exactly as they are, that you did not confuse the letter O with the number 0, and that no blank space slipped in at the start, the end, or the middle. If this error appears on a demo (practice) account, according to the official guidance the usage period may have expired; password resets and demo account reissues are done by the broker.
When is the trading commission charged at Vantage?
According to the official guidance, commission is charged at the moment an order is executed. That is, it is applied when the trade is actually filled. The commission amount and the way it is charged may differ by account type, so please check the broker's official guidance directly.
I get a 'market is closed' error in MT4. Where can I check the trading hours?
This is the message shown outside trading hours. On weekends and market holidays you cannot place or modify orders. Hours differ by instrument, so on a computer open the Market Watch window with Ctrl+M, right-click the instrument, and choose 'Specification' to see that instrument's trading hours. On iPhone, tap the instrument in the Quotes tab and choose 'Details'; on Android, tap the instrument in Quotes and check 'Symbol Properties'.
What are stop loss (S/L) and take profit (T/P), and why does the 'invalid S/L or T/P' error appear?
A stop loss (S/L, Stop Loss) is an order that automatically closes a trade when the loss reaches the level you set, and a take profit (T/P, Take Profit) is an order that closes it and locks in the gain when the profit reaches the level you set. Both are used to manage risk and return, but setting them does not make the risk of losing your principal disappear. A common cause of the error is setting the price too close to the current price; the minimum distance you must keep from the current price differs by instrument and account, so check the official guidance. Getting the direction the wrong way round also causes the error: for a Buy, the stop loss goes below the current price and the take profit above it, and for a Sell it is the other way round.
The chart reached the target price, so why was the take profit (T/P) not triggered?
The value shown on the chart is usually the selling price (Bid). The buying price (Ask) is that value plus the spread (Spread, the difference between the buying and selling prices), so it is slightly higher. A sell position closes only when the buying price reaches the target, so it may not have been triggered yet even though it looks as if the level was reached on the chart. Also, when the market moves suddenly or trading is thin, slippage (Slippage) occurs, where the price you expected and the price actually filled differ; a fill in your favor is called positive slippage and one against you is called negative slippage.
What is a stop out (forced liquidation) and how do I avoid it?
A stop out is when the positions you hold are closed automatically because the account's margin level (the ratio of margin you have to spare) falls below a threshold. The margin level is worked out by dividing equity by the margin in use and multiplying by 100; the official guidance lists a margin level of 20% as the threshold (checked September 2026) and says the positions with the largest losses are closed first. The threshold may differ by account or region and may change, so check the official guidance again. The official guidance advises keeping your balance comfortably above the required margin, using stop loss orders, checking your margin level often, and avoiding highly volatile times and large positions, but even doing this does not make the risk of losing your principal disappear.
In MT4/MT5 the instrument name turns grey and I cannot place orders.
The official guidance gives four causes: the market is closed for a weekend or public holiday; the instrument is not enabled for your account type; you logged in with the wrong account or an inactive account; or you logged in with the read-only password (investor password). The read-only password is a view-only password that lets you see your history but not trade, so new orders are blocked while you are logged in with it. Try right-clicking in Market Watch, choosing 'Show All', and logging in again with your original trading password; if that still does not work, contact the broker's customer support with a screenshot.

You can try the same screens with virtual money, and it is not too late to start once you are used to it.
